Rebounding Sporthorses offers thoughtful, professional horse training, consignment board, Virginia Certified board, and Virginia bred mare and foal board in Leesburg, Virginia. Located just minutes from Morven Park and approximately 15 minutes from Morven Park Equine Hospital, our program is designed for owners who want experienced, individualized care in a quiet, horse focused setting.

With lush grass pastures, stall availability, experienced handling, and a patient approach to horse development, we provide a professional environment for young horses, OTTBs, sales horses, broodmares, foals, and horses needing a confident restart.

Training Board

Our training program is built around correct, patient development from the ground up. We do not believe in rushing horses or forcing them through a program before they are mentally or physically ready. Every horse is approached as an individual, with an emphasis on confidence, basics, rideability, and long term success.

Training board is ideal for young horses, restarted horses, OTTBs, difficult horses, horses needing confidence, and horses preparing for their next career. Kelly has experience as a working student for multiple 5 star eventers and hunter jumper trainers, has learned from several students of Joe Fargis, and has worked with several foxhunts. Her specialty is bringing along horses that need a patient, educated approach, including horses that have been misunderstood or written off elsewhere.

All horses must be physically cleared before entering training. A minimum 60 day commitment is required so each horse has enough time to settle in, develop correctly, and make meaningful progress.

Training board may include groundwork, flatwork, jumping basics, trail exposure, conditioning, manners, loading practice, confidence building, and preparation for resale or future competition depending on the horse’s needs.

Consignment Board

Our consignment board program is designed for owners who want their horse marketed professionally while continuing to receive quality daily care and appropriate training. We focus on presenting each horse honestly, correctly, and in a way that helps attract the right buyer.

Consignment board can include professional sales preparation, continued training, fitness development, photos and videos, sale ads, buyer communication, appointment scheduling, trial rides, and assistance through the sales process. Horses are represented with transparency so buyers know exactly what they are getting, and owners can feel confident their horse is being handled professionally.

This option is a good fit for sport horses, OTTBs, hunters, jumpers, event prospects, foxhunters, and horses needing additional mileage before being offered publicly.

Virginia Certified Board

Rebounding Sporthorses offers Virginia Certified board for eligible Thoroughbreds needing to complete Virginia residency requirements. Our Leesburg location provides a quiet, professional setting with pasture turnout, stall availability, and experienced daily care for horses enrolled in or preparing for Virginia certification.

We understand the importance of proper documentation, consistent care, and clear communication during the certification process. Owners are responsible for confirming current eligibility, paperwork, deadlines, and program requirements with the appropriate Virginia Thoroughbred program, but we are happy to provide board and care during the horse’s required Virginia stay.

Virginia Bred Mare and Foal Board

We also offer board for Virginia bred mares and foals, including broodmare care, mare and foal board, and foaling services. Our farm provides lush grass pastures, stalls when needed, and experienced handling for mares, foals, and youngstock.

Being located close to Morven Park Equine Hospital provides added peace of mind for broodmare and foal care. We offer attentive daily management, safe turnout, and a calm environment for mares and foals to settle, grow, and thrive.
