Meet The Team

"Charlie"
Charlie's Angel
16.3h imported Oldenburg gelding that truly does it all! He is comfortable in the hunters, jumps right around the equitation, and brave enough for the jumpers. He has an easy rhythm, a kind brain, and is a fun ride for a wide range of riders.
In the barn he is a sassy man with a huge personality. He absolutely loves attention, expects to be spoiled, and will happily demand scratches from anyone who walks by. He’s quickly become a barn favorite everywhere he goes and keeps everyone laughing daily.

"Kisses"
Zen's Kisses - Jockey Club: Barb's Gray Girl
A true unicorn of a mare. She walks into any ring and consistently comes home with ribbons and always get a piece of the hack. She has that soft, easy way of going that makes everything feel smooth and uncomplicated, and she gives her rider a ton of confidence without ever getting strong or overwhelmed.
She has also first flight foxhunted and handles new situations quietly and sensibly, taking everything in stride and always looking out for her person. Whether she’s in the show ring or out in the hunt field, she stays level headed and reliable.
Honest, forgiving, and incredibly kind, she naturally teaches her riders how to ride correctly and rewards them when they get it right. The type of mare that takes care of you on your off days and still makes you feel like a good rider.

"Sweets"
Rocked Lady
17.2h imported Hanoverian mare originally bred for Grand Prix dressage, now beginning a new chapter in the hunter jumper world. She’s a beautiful, elegant mover with a naturally balanced way of going and a big, comfortable stride that makes her lovely to sit.
True to her name, she is incredibly sweet and kind in the barn, very people-oriented, and always happy to be fussed over. She’s learning her new job thoughtfully and tries hard for her rider, bringing her rideability and flatwork foundation with her as she transitions into her next career.
Sweets is soft, willing, and a pleasure to be around every day.

"Karma"
Bardot De Montfort
16.3h imported Brazilian Sporthorse, bred to be a Grand Prix jumping prospect and being brought along slowly and thoughtfully. She’s a sensitive mare who feels everything, but she genuinely wants to please her rider and thrives with quiet, correct riding.
She has an incredibly scopey jump and plenty of natural ability, paired with a smart brain that is learning to channel all that talent in the right direction. Every ride she gets more confident and more sure of her job.
Karma is a very special type of horse: talented, careful, and developing into a very exciting partner for the future.

"Cinnamon"
Jockey Club: Bettys Got Rhythm
Cinnamon is a sassy Thoroughbred mare now stepping into life as a broodmare. She’s always been an incredibly athletic jumper with a big heart and even bigger opinions, and she definitely keeps the barn entertaining.
She has a filly due Spring 2026 and we’re excited to see her talent carried forward. The plan is to cross her with warmblood stallions to produce future jumper prospects while preserving the quickness, bravery, and scope she’s always shown over fences.
Plenty of personality, plenty of ability - we’re aiming for her future foals to inherit the talent she’s known for.

"Toffee"
Jockey Club: Cielo Lady
A sweet, mostly retired rescue mare whose current job is keeping our neighbor's 34-year-old mare company. She’s gentle and affectionate but still a little opinionated, and she makes sure everyone knows when it’s time for attention or snacks.
Toffee was rescued from a kill pen emaciated and lame, and her recovery was a long, slow, careful rehab. Now she spends her days safe, comfortable, and loved, enjoying turnout and the quiet life she earned.
A reminder that sometimes the most important horses in the barn aren’t the show horses, they’re the ones who just needed a second chance.

"Dog"
Sparkles
Shetland cross pony and general barn menace. She came to us as a Craigslist, semi-rescue situation and has been keeping things interesting ever since.
She’s sassy, a little semi feral, and pretty sure she runs the place. She keeps the other horses company, supervises chores, and creates daily entertainment whether anyone asked for it or not.
Her legal name is Sparkles, but we call her “Dog” because she’s basically dog-sized and follows people around looking for snacks and attention.
Not a sporthorse… but a very cute permanent part of the barn.

Barn Owner/Manager
Kelly Anne
This is Kelly, our barn owner and manager.
With over 25 years spent in the barn, she brings a lifetime of hands on experience to the program. Her background includes eventing, dressage, hunter jumper, and foxhunting, giving her a well rounded foundation in both riding and horsemanship and allowing her to adapt her approach to each individual horse.
Kelly is especially known for her work with young horses and the quirky ones that need time, patience, and a correct start. She focuses on proper development and confidence building so horses truly understand their job instead of being rushed through it.
She also has an exceptional eye for identifying future talent, often seeing potential in horses others overlook and developing them into capable, happy partners. Her program prioritizes rideability, soundness, and longevity, always putting the horse first while helping riders grow along the way.
She brings experience, consistency, and thoughtful decision making to the team, and the horses benefit from it every day.

"Chippy"
Gray Meadows Chip Chip Hurray
“Chip” is a beautiful hunter prospect with both the talent and the pedigree to match. He is by *WT Whimsical* and out of *Catawba*, carrying the highly sought after **Cor de la Bryère** bloodlines. For those who follow sport horse breeding, Cor de la Bryère lines are known for producing horses with exceptional technique, natural balance, and rideability, and they have been consistently successful across the hunter ring for generations.
Chip already shows exactly the qualities these bloodlines are valued for. He has a soft way of going, natural rhythm, and an easy balanced canter that makes him simple to ride to the jumps. His jump is careful and correct with a pretty shape over the fences, and he approaches his work with a quiet, willing mind. He settles into new environments sensibly and tries hard to do the right thing every ride.
We are looking forward to developing him and preparing him for his next rider as he continues his education with us. We are very excited about his future and expect him to be a lovely partner for someone wanting a quality hunter to bring along.
